Professor Vincenzo Carcangiu is the new Head of Department for the 2026-2029 term

Professor Vincenzo Carcangiu is the new Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sassari for the 2026–2029 three-year term, effective from 1 November 2026.

The election took place as part of the procedure launched for the renewal of the Department leadership, in accordance with the election schedule published on the Department website.

The Department community wishes Professor Carcangiu every success in his new role and looks forward to continuing the Department’s growth in teaching, research, Third Mission activities, internationalisation and engagement with the local community.

The Department also thanks Professor Enrico Pietro Luigi De Santis for his work during his term of office and for his contribution to the development of the Department and to its accreditation.
